3x-9x 40 'Colt Optics' U.S.A Marked Scope

 'Colt Defense' model number of COLSP99304

colt defense 3x9x40 box label3-9x40 Colt scope, SN 200424  /  Marked "Made in the U. S. A."   The maker name is not on the scope, but Burris claims to have made it according to an eBay seller (5-2020) of a duplicate scope and that claim is proven in a display of a similar Burris scope that showed up on eBay in 6-2020 and is documented below.  Another eBay seller (6-2020) posted this exact same Colt scope with a white cardboard box and end label indicating 'Colt Defense' sold the scope.  The model number on the box is COLSP99304
 
Measurements:  13 in. length, barrel 1 in. diameter, front 40mm., back 30mm.
 
A similar Colt scope is shown in a 1999 Colt ad where it is shown on a 'Colt Light Rifle', (ad below) without mentioning it is a Colt or Burris scope.  Photos below show the exact same scope marked for 'Burris', but with a matt finish and gold lettering of this Colt version.  Photo proof at the bottom of this page.
