Colt's 'Coltmaster' 4x scope, c. 1960's

Coltmaster Telescopic Sights

 

During the 1950's - 60's Colt sold two versions of this Coltmaster scope: The Coltmaster and the Coltmaster Jr.  The Coltmaster version was available in 2.5x, 4x, and 6x.  The Coltmaster Jr. was for .22 caliber rifles with dovetailed receivers like the Colteer I-22 and was available in 4x and 6x. 

Below are some images of a salesman's set of Coltmaster scopes that showed up in a 2016  California auction.  Featuring four (4) Coltmaster scopes in 6x, 4x, 2-1/2x, and Coltmaster Jr. 4x.  A same vintage Coltmaster 4x boxed sight is part of this collection.
